Blogs are more than that!

To continue with the Digital Literacy class contents I did today, I show you the use of blogs, but first let me tell you I have already discovered the use of gadgets and now you can see relevant webs and features I attach you here.

So, blogs have become a free and a didactic tool for educational institutions and teachers. Thanks to its features and easiness of use, blogs allow authors to configure them and personalize them with information related to their own interests.

Here I expose you some of the uses that blogs can have:

- Blogs as a way to share knowledge, generate debates and make reflections:

In these type of blogs, people use to share articles, recent news and discoveries related to a subject they like. Also they betray thoughts and personal opinions in order to generate debate with they followers, and so on.

An example of that type of blogs can be the following one:

- Blogs as a "school window":

These are spaces that schools dedicate to parents to share what they do at school: extracurricular activities, students' performances, educational contests, excursions, trips, amongst others. Besides, there are schools, such as Sadako School, that have a specific blog for each course. Take a look on it!

- Blogs as educational resources to practice a subject:

In these blogs there are plenty of interactive activities addressed to students (the age of the students has to do with the resources the blog can offer) so they can practice any subject they like. Basically, teachers use them as a support on the traditional books and paper activities. 
What's most important is that by the time students are learning in a motivating way, they are becoming digital literates!!!
