Let's analyse our Blog!

We are approximately at the half of this course of Digital Literacy. As you can see, we have learned a lot of new and interesting features of the huge world, internet, we didn't know before. I am sure that in the last half of this course we will discover much more digital tools to use in our future as teachers, but firstly, as students.

According to the scoring guide used to evaluate the quality of the posts we do in our Blog, there are some items we should take into account in order to write properly and, also, to have a nice and attractive blog. Especially, I want to highlight the importance of writing it correctly. We must check twice that there are no grammatical or spelling mistakes, that the entries are coherent, have cohesion and are appropriate. The posts must show insight, depth and understanding. They must be relevant to the subject of our blog and it is better if we can add some links or images related.

Today I want you to think about your Blog, and according to what Lola (a friend of mine) always says, let's be critical and constructive!

I will assess mine right now. On the one hand, I can totally assure that in my posts the spelling and grammatical errors are rare, basically because I use to review the text in a orthographic corrector before I publish it. Secondly, I try to give structure and a good format for the journal entries to enhance readability, although not always as good as I want. I complement them with lots of interesting links, images and videos, as well.

On the other hand, I reckon that the entries flows and have cohesion between posts. The axis of my Blog are the new digital tools I explore. The blog journal posts show insight, depth and understanding. All events are published every now and then and constantly updated. I don’t get my Blog abandoned!

And last but not least, I think that by the time I express my opinion I do it with an appropriate style and is clearly related to the topic we are talking about.

All in all, I am really proud and happy with my blog because I have noticed a huge development on it and also in my digital abilities.  However, know there are aspects I could do better or in another way, so from now on I will improve them!
